How do I get rid of one of the wireless network?
I was messing with my wireless router, the other day and I learned that my router Wireless is the host of the network 2. I have a Linksys WRT54G router. I tried to connect to it with my laptop and one floor ensures that connect but the other says not guaranteed. How do I get rid of the unsecured network? I believe that other people connect to it
Wireless routers are not really capable of hosting more than 1 network. The experience we have is that you are watching your neighbors wireless network as an option to connect. All routers broadcast their "name" (SSID) and by default, all the same type of routers have the same SSID Staight out of the box. The extra network you're seeing is just someone who has the same type of router have. The thing to do is access your router GUI and make sure it is enabled all your wireless security. WEP or WPA, etc ... once you are sure of it and press 'Save' and exit the GUI, you can be sure that your router is secure and only those possessing the key to access it.
